Well once you get past Drumpf, you are really going uphill. He is out of his fucking mind. He just says what dumb people want to hear, it doesn’t matter if it’s just insane or racist. For sure, has he ever been anything other than a greedy egomaniac? Um no! He’s always worked every angle at someone else’s expense to get where he wants to be. He has no idea what he’s doing! He wants it to be the day after WWII ended?? Was America great then? The world is changing by leaps and bounds, we need to figure out how to move forward with everybody. I was going to keep writing but I realized I would have a book in a few hours if I didn’t stop!

She has a 68% unfavorability rating, her SuperPACs have been caught colluding with the DNC (breaking their own bylaws BTW), chose a VP known for be pro-deregulation of banks and anti-abortion, pissing off more voters than just Bernie supporters and she’s doubling down instead of asking Superdelegates to reconsider the candidate who’s consistently polled better than her against Trump to ensure a definite win in November.

Not sarcasm. Irony, perhaps. I don’t think Hillary Clinton is insane. I cannot be as certain that Donald Trump has both oars rowing. I anticipate several more Hillary-centered scandals between now and November. I just listened to a story about torture methods where they shove a hose up a prisoner’s ass and pump in water. Would this be included in “waterboarding and worse,” as Donald Trump is oft quoted as having proposed? Who would want to serve in the armed forces of the United States when the POTUS is talking about torturing captured enemy combatants? Am I pro-Hillary? No. Am I pro-Trump? Hell no. Do I want to waste my vote on some obscure third choice? No. Will I stay in bet on the morning of Election Day? The thought has crossed my mind.

The folks who get excited about Donald Trump are wired differently than I am wired.

I wouldn’t know. I’m one of the folks who got excited about Hillary until I watched her become the worst thing ever, who apparently is so fucking obsessed with the Presidency that she’s willing to install Trump as the President of the United States.

I appreciate your comment and I am in a similar predicament. For my part, as my (more) liberal extended family were knee-jerk mongering fear about Donald Trump early on, I was trying to find his upside. I came up with Not evangelical, Not anti-gay, Spanked Ted Cruz’s ass raw, and one or two other salient things. But as time has passed, Trump appears to me to be more and more unhinged. And my view is similar to yours, though the part about “obsessed with the presidency” was present in my thinking very early on regarding Hillary Clinton, though I saw her as bringing about a Cruz presidency, or a Bush 3, and not a Trump presidency.

But given Hillary Clinton as the option — and I am not personally convinced that Bernie Sanders would have been imminently more electable — in all honesty, I cannot blame anyone for choosing Trump.
